To expand its reach and amplify brand recognition among the “gamer” demographic, Takis teamed up with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins— one of the gaming industry’s most influential figures— for the Takis Snackin' Royale sweepstakes. The campaign’s Grand Prize offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a state-of-the-art gaming setup and an exclusive gaming session with Ninja, featuring Fortnite, one of the most popular games among the streaming community.
Leveraging our expertise, Realtime Media collaborated with Takis to create an impactful sweepstakes campaign. The promotion successfully combined influencer power and irresistible prizes to engage consumers, drive purchases, and elevate brand awareness.
Our Solution
By implementing a streamlined purchase validation flow that leveraged both receipt validation and freshness code recognition, we created an engaging campaign that maximized consumer participation and encouraged repeat purchases.
Our Approach:
- Takis Sweepstakes Mechanics: The Takis Sweepstakes invited participants to enter by purchasing a qualifying Takis Fuego Fiesta size product (or an AMOE) and submitting a receipt photo or freshness code on a dedicated promotion microsite. Designed to reflect Takis’ bold and adventurous brand, the microsite delivered a smooth and engaging entry experience, making it easy for consumers to participate and dive into the excitement.
- Unbelievable Prizes: Three Grand Prize winners received a top-tier gaming setup and a 60-minute Fortnite gaming session with Ninja. Additional prizes were also awarded: Fifty runner-up winners received a custom, Takis-branded premium gaming headset to elevate their gaming experience, while fifty second runner-up winners were treated to a case of Takis Fuego chips.
- Maximizing User Engagement: Participants could earn additional sweepstakes entries by submitting additional unique codes, encouraging repeat purchases. To prevent fraud and ensure fairness, we enforced a daily limit of one entry per person. A social sharing feature was also incorporated, enabling users to share the promotion link and earn bonus entries for referrals, further amplifying campaign reach.
