Campaign Overview

To engage its target audience and enhance brand visibility, Aperol partnered with Realtime Media to launch the Aperol Coachella Sweepstakes, offering participants aged 21 and over the chance to win a VIP Coachella Experience. As an Official sponsor of the Coachella Music Festival, Aperol leveraged its strategic partnership with the globally celebrated event to strengthen its brand presence.

The campaign was designed to increase brand awareness, boost social media engagement, and foster connections with a key demographic, all while celebrating one of the world’s most iconic music events. Following the program’s success, Aperol has chosen to run a second-year repeat of this sweepstakes.

Our Solution

To create an engaging and memorable campaign, we collaborated with the Aperol team to build a custom promotion that capitalized on the allure of Coachella tickets and aligned seamlessly with Aperol’s brand ethos.

Our Approach:

  • Aperol Sweepstakes: We developed a visually striking, user-friendly microsite tailored for U.S. and international audiences. Serving as the central entry hub, the microsite integrated Aperol’s vibrant branding and reflected the energy and excitement of the Coachella Music Festival. Participants could easily navigate the site to enter the sweepstakes and the microsite entry method served one of the sponsorship’s primary goals to acquire email opt-ins for their CRM.
  • Social Media Amplification: To maximize reach and engagement, Aperol developed an omnichannel media and engagement strategy to attract audiences across social media. Participants could enter the sweepstakes via unique links tailored to each platform. U.S. participants also had the added convenience of entering directly through Facebook. To encourage further brand interaction and organic amplification of the promotion, participants earned additional entries by sharing the sweepstakes on X (formerly Twitter) and Pinterest.
  • Incredible Prizes: The sweepstakes offered residents of the U.S. and Canada, aged 21 and older, the chance to win an unforgettable experience. The Grand Prize included a VIP trip for three to the highly popular Coachella Music Festival, complete with festival tickets, round-trip airfare, and a four-night hotel stay- awarded to one winner in the U.S. and another in Canada.
