Brian Tierney, most recently publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer, is a nationally recognized expert in branding, marketing and advertising, and an accomplished entrepreneur.

Tierney has a distinguished record building brands for some of the largest companies in the United States such as Exelon, Commerce Bank, Marriott, IBM, Deloitte, Aramark and Independence Blue Cross. He has launched several successful marketing communications companies, including T2 Group and Tierney Communications, which he grew to $275 million in billings and sold to the Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE: IPG). In 2006, Brian organized a group of investors to purchase the Philadelphia Newspapers: The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com.

In 2002-2003 he was Entrepreneur in Residence at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Tierney serves on the board of NutriSystem (NASDAQ:NTRI), as well as several privately held businesses. He has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Thomas Jefferson University, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Episcopal Academy and the University of Pennsylvania Museum.

Brian received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law and a Doctor of Humane letters from Cabrini College.

Prior to joining Realtime, Ryan Davis was president of Philly.com, the Philadelphia region's largest news and information web site, attracting more than 90 million page views per month. He led all online initiatives and operations for Philadelphia Media Holdings (PMH), which owned The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Phily.com. From March 2009 to March 2010, Philly.com was the fastest growing news and information site in the world, according to Nielsen.

Prior to joining PMH, Davis worked as a consultant in McKinsey & Co.'s Media and Entertainment Practice. He advised high-tech companies, cable networks, cable providers, publishers and others in the media space. His media career started as a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times and Baltimore Sun.

Davis graduated with honors from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Ed Mahlman has created strategic advantages that deliver measurable outcomes for leading brands. Ed previously served as chief marketing officer for The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com, where he and his team created the nationally-recognized Media Lab™, Research Lab™ and, earlier this year, America's first contemporary three-dimensional newspaper advertising.

Immediately prior, he was Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Lottery. Turning around what had been 10 years of flat sales, Ed grew the business from two to three billion dollars, an increase of 50 percent in just four years. Before that, Ed held several positions at Tierney Communications handling accounts such as Sunoco, Deloitte, Aramark, Verizon as well as several casinos.

A graduate of Saint Joseph's University, he also has a master's degree from the Boston University College of Communication.

A seven year veteran of the online promotions industry, Brian provides a broad range of knowledge and experience, from the technology end of the spectrum through to the strategic and compliance aspects of running successful promotions.

Brian came to Realtime Media in 2002 with over 12 years of consulting experience in web development, process improvement and operations. During this time he delivered solutions for clients such as AIG Insurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Solucient, Biosys, GMAC Mortgage, Blackwell Publishing, Aspen Publishing and many others. Brian received his B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
